Marvel presently teaches Quantitative Thinking in Management and Process Management. He has held faculty appointments in the College of Integrated Science and Technology at James Madison University and in the Padnos College of Engineering and Computing at Grand Valley State University. Teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate level, where he has taught courses in Production Operations Models, Facility Layout, and Manufacturing Work Methods. Dr. Marvel has over 14 years of industrial experience in engineering and management positions. Primary research interests are the applications of statistical methods and simulation techniques for improving the competitiveness of manufacturing enterprises.
