Degrees: BA in Political Science from Gettysburg College, and an Ed.M. in Organizational Behavior from Harvard University.
Professor Hamerstone taught at the University of Akron College of Business. Prior to his teaching career, Professor Hamerstone was the Senior Vice President of Human Relations for University Hospitals Health System, an integrated $2 billion, 22,000 employee system anchored by University Hospitals of Cleveland. Before going to UHHS, Professor Hamerstone was Vice President of Human Resources for TRW Engine Components Group. He also held Senior HR positions at Digital Equipment in Boston and for New York City Financial Organization. His main interest is improving productivity and quality of work life in organizations.
