Student-Faculty Research

Gettysburg College Physics Department faculty members are active scientists who engage students in their research as much as possible.�Students are encouraged to take advantage of the lively and close interaction with faculty to develop and sharpen the experimental, mathematical and intuitive skills needed to become an independent investigator in physics - or whatever your ultimate field of choice may be.
Students can strengthen their academic experiences at Gettysburg College in a number of ways - through student research projects and physics demonstrations;�in a variety of physics disciplines, including plasma physics;�summer research; and extra-curricular campus activities such a the Society of Physics Students.
