Nathalie Goubet, Associate Professor of Psychology, delivered an oral presentation at

the XXXI International Ethological Conference, August 19-24, 2009, in Rennes, France. The

presentation, titled "Environmental modulation of pain and stress behaviors in human neonates,"

synthesized research on the effects of the sensory environment on pain responses in full-term and

preterm newborns.
