Prof. Kevin D. Wilson, Assistant Professor of Psychology and Maggie Mintus (class of 2010), recently presented a poster entitled, "Sex Hormones Differentially Influence Mental Rotation and Rotated Object Recognition," at the Annual Meeting of the Cognitive Neuroscience Society in Montreal. The study found that hormones such as testosterone and estrogen have distinct influences on different perceptual tasks, consistent with previous brain imaging research in our lab using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI).
