Scholar development

From their first year onward, Gettysburg College encourages students to be active partners in the learning process.

Our scholar development model pairs students and faculty mentors. Together, they design and complete projects, share results with the campus and professional communities, and reflect on what they have learned. The goal is not only to gain academic knowledge, but also to develop life-long skills.

Students who excel in these learning partnerships gain a competitive advantage in graduate school admission and in seeking prestigious scholarships such as the Rhodes, Marshall, and Fulbright.
