Dorothy Colleen Moore

A native of California, Dorothy holds a Masters Degree from California State University, Fresno in Linguistics, with an emphasis on teaching English as a Second Language. Here at Gettysburg, she teaches primarily Spanish language classes, but has also taught ESL methodology courses in the Education Department.. She is certified in Oral Proficiency Testing, and has interviewed hundreds of our students to assess their language proficiency before and after studying abroad. She is also interested in nontraditional ways of learning and teaching, and is working with Tali Baeza in a pilot program that uses alternative pedagogies to teach Spanish to students with learning differences
