Major: Psychology

Academic highlights: As a psychology major, Gettysburg offers numerous opportunities to conduct and participate in research studies. This is invaluable as it gives students a glimpse into how the field works and provides the chance to work on publishable research. The intimate class settings and passionate professors have made learning enjoyable in even the most difficult courses.

Extracurricular highlights: As President of the Panhellenic Council, that governs the colleges sororities, I have been able to grow as a person. I learn more everyday about the bonds of friendships, the influence of large groups of motivated students in community outreach, and the challenges and rewards of taking on the diverse leadership opportunities that Gettysburg offers.  I also live for the indoor intramural soccer season.

After Gettysburg: I plan to take a year and work on a psychology research project and apply to psychology doctoral programs.

What makes Gettysburg great? There is an energy here: in sports, in greek life, in the academic setting, and across all aspects of this campus.  Each of these parts feed and support each other because students are generally involved in a wide range of activities.  Gettysburg is a place where people celebrate where they've been, enjoy where they are, and are excited about where they are going.
