Academic highlights: Field trip to the Ferrier Museum for my History of Islamic Technology course. We also were able to see a Mosque and watch a salat (prayer) in action. For dinner, we went to a Iranian resturant to eat Persian food. It was very delicious and I got to take some home.
Extracurricular highlights: I am the goal keeper for the Qudditch team at Gettysburg College. It is an intramural sport and tons of fun. I am president of Allies club which is the gay-straight alliance and also, president of Amnesty International which is a human rights national organization. I love being a part of these clubs and other similar clubs like Peace club.
After Gettysburg: I want to work for the Peace Corps or go in to the JET program to teach english to Japanese students. What I really want to do is to become a travel writer one day and travel the world, learn different languages, meet cool people, and eat delicious food!
What should new students know? Gburg is a cool place with cool people...like me! If you want to go to a college with a friendly environment and fun people, come to Gettysburg College
