BOLD Involvement

VolunteerAs a young alum, there are MANY ways in which you can continue to participate in college life.  Whether it is volunteering to represent Gettysburg at a college fair, attending alumni club events, or supporting the College through financial support, you can be involved with G'burg.

Gettysburg College welcomes the participation of young alumni in all aspects of leadership and supporting roles on the board or on committees.  Volunteers can also help lead alumni clubs, the preparation of class reunions, and encouraging financial support of the College as a Class Agent.

 

Stay Involved!

KARE Program: Interested in sharing the values of a Gettysburg College education with prospective students?  Join the Key Alumni resource Effort (KARE) Program to attend college fairs, participate in admissions interviews.  For more information contact Mary Smith '00.

Career Development: In addition to offering career services for alumni, the Center for Career Development also has volunteer opportunities available ranging from conducting mock interviews to hosting students for internships or externships.  Volunteer to help Gettysburg College students prepare for their future in many exciting ways.  Volunteer now!

Alumni Clubs: Do you feel like a stranger in a new city?  Want to connect with fellow G'burg alums in your area?  Find out more about the nearly 30 regional alumni clubs around the country that is closest to you.

Alumni Events: Gettysburg College sponsors many events for alumni across the country, including Homecoming and Reunion Weekend on campus.  Be sure to check often as events are planned and posted regularly.

Reunions:  Volunteer to help out with your reunion!  Help your class reconnect working with fellow committee members to plan your class's reunion festivities and raise funds for your class's reunion gift.  For more information, contact Jen Brennan '01.

Class Agent: Connect regularly with your classmates by becoming a Class Agent.  Through letter writing campaigns and making calls to your class, each Class Agent helps the College keep alumni information current and raise funds for the Gettysburg Fund.  For more information, contact Hugh McStravick '09.
