Featuring Torn Asunder and Reunited: The American Past and Lincoln
Musselman Library celebrates the upcoming bicentennial of Abraham
Lincoln's birth with a series of exhibits highlighting the Civil War, 19th century life, and Lincoln. Explore period letters, pamphlets, speeches, and photographs, on loan from Gettysburg alumnus Bill Wright, ‘61; as well as a unique collection of 19th century surgical instruments assembled by adjunct faculty member Ian Isherwood, class of 2000. Also, enjoy a display of Lincoln portraiture, coordinated by the College's Civil War Institute, featuring works by Sam Fink and three other artists.

Musselman Library
Brian Lovett (1956-2006) served Gettysburg College as a Safety and Security officer for 24 years and spent his last year at the college as Night Shift Supervisor at Musselman Library Circulation Desk. With his friendly smile and warm personality, he used every occasion to connect with students, lend an ear, and offer sympathy or advice. Brian was a friend and confidant to several generations of college students and a well-respected colleague, whom we all miss.
