Ben has been a member of the Gettysburg College Annual Giving team since September, 2006. As the Director of Annual Giving, Ben manages a team dedicated to increasing annual financial support for the Gettysburg Fund and Orange & Blue Club. In fund year 2011, the College raised nearly $3.5 million between both funds. In his five years with the College, Ben has worked with the reunion giving program (2006-08), the Cupola Society (2008-11), and was Director of the O&B Club (2010-11). Ben graduated from Penn State University in 2002, and began his career in marketing, sales, and in-game entertainment with the Reading Phillies, the AA affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. In 2003, the Reading Phillies were awarded the John H. Johnson President’s Trophy as Minor League Baseball’s top organization. After three years in baseball, he spent a year working in development for the American Red Cross in Carlisle, PA, before beginning his tenure with Gettysburg College.
