What is the Senior Class Gift Campaign?

  • The Senior Class Gift Campaign is a fundraising effort by the Senior class to make a lasting impression and to show support for Gettysburg College.

Where does the money raised by the Senior Class Gift Campaign go?

  • All of the money raised by the Senior Class Gift Campaign is added to the overall efforts of the Gettysburg Fund.

What is the Gettysburg Fund?

  • The Gettysburg Fund is Gettysburg College's annual fund.
  • An institution's annual fund is viewed as a measure of strength and support. A strong program reflects positively upon the school and the alumni.
  • The Gettysburg Fund is the yearly account which helps to operate Gettysburg College. Money donated to the Gettysburg Fund is applied directly to Gettysburg's operating budget supporting scholarships and financial aid, off campus study, faculty excellence, facilities and so much more!

Can Seniors earmark which program they would like their money to support?

YES! Seniors may designate their donation to the following target areas:

  • Unrestricted or Area of Greatest Need
  • Scholarships/Financial Aid
  • Faculty Excellence
  • Student Life
  • Specific Academic Department
  • Other - Beyond the Classroom

Why should I participate?

  • The Senior Class Gift Campaign is an opportunity to examine your Gettysburg experience...someone's past Gettysburg Fund donation most likely influenced your time at Gettysburg, so this is now YOUR chance to return the favor!
  • The Gettysburg experience is not just 4 years, it lasts a lifetime! A donation to the Senior Class Gift Campaign helps begin the transition from student to alumni status...hopefully sparking the commitment to further involvement.
  • Giving back to Gettysburg not only enhances Gettysburg's national reputation, but it also increases the value of a Gettysburg diploma to future employers.

How do I become involved?

  • All seniors will be contacted by a Senior Class Gift Committee Member but they are more than welcome to donate online.
  • There is NO MINIMUM gift level as all gifts are welcomed and appreciate!

How can I set up recurring payments?

  • You can set up recurring payments by contacting Stacey Haas, Assistant Director of Annual Giving for Student Programs, at shaas@gettysburg.edu or by calling 717-337-6334.
  • You can also stop by the Annual Giving Office on the 4th floor of Penn Hall
