The Tau Delta Chapter of Chi Omega celebrated its 75th Anniversary at Gettysburg College during Homecoming 2012.
The celebration began with a Friday evening reception at the Norris-Wachob Alumni House and continued at a Saturday morning brunch at the Gettysburg Hotel.
At the brunch, current Tau Delta President Lydia MacKenzie '13 addressed the alumnae and gave a special greeting to Hazel Detwiler Bowers '40, one of the College's first Tau Delta initiates. Tau Delta alumna Janet Morgan Riggs '77, President of Gettysburg College, and Kate Scattergood, from Chi Omega's Supreme Governing Council, also spoke to the group.
Still a thriving chapter on campus, Tau Delta has initiated 1755 women into membership since it was founded in 1937.
