The Department of Foundation, Government, and Faculty Grants helps Gettysburg College develop and strengthen partnerships that are beneficial to the advancement of education.
The office seeks outside grant funding which may be in the form of scholarships, faculty research, building or conservation, equipment, and other programs that are consistent with the College's priorities.
Marianne Jordan from McAllister & Quinn will offer a workshop on conceptualizing your grant proposal on March 16th from 11:30 to 1:00 p.m. in the Penn Hall Lyceum. This presentation is aimed at faculty with little to no grant writing experience who wish to learn how best to present their ideas in a compelling grant proposal for a federal or private funder. We will also touch on searching for funders. The presentation will be followed by Q&A. A light lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. – Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by March 1st.
Marianne Jordan serves as Managing Director of Grants Services in the Higher Education Practice at McAllister & Quinn. Before joining McAllister & Quinn, she served as Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine (1997-2012). Prior to Bowdoin, she held comparable positions at Allegheny College (1989-1997) and Gallaudet University (1985-1989). Marianne has acknowledged expertise in working with faculty and college administrators to elicit great ideas and to convert those ideas into successful grant proposals.
