The College relies on volunteers to reach out to fellow classmates, alumni, and parents to encourage them to carry on the tradition of philanthropy for Gettysburg. Fundraising volunteers write letters, call or email peers, and serve as liaisons between Gettysburg and classmates or fellow parents.
During a class's reunion year, members of the class Reunion Committee work with their classmates to raise funds for their Class Gift to the College. In a non-reunion year, the primary fundraisers for their class are Class Agents.
Members of the Parents Leadership Council reach out to other parents through personal contacts and at events such as Family Weekend.
