Only one top seed managed to make it through their respective league tournament and emerge as 
the first Intramural Champion of 2008. The Dribblers of the Women's League led a balanced attack against Team High Life Thursday night in Plank to claim the ever elusive championship t-shirt and shorts. Dawn Grashorn posted a double- double with 21 boards and 10 points. Supporting Dawn's effort, three other Dribblers posted double digit point totals in adding to the 48-26 victory.
Rounding out a four year dynasty Coed Champions, 3rd Grade Recess All Stars held off the apply named top seed, #1 by a 43-36 count. Jesse Jeffers and Mike Carney worked the paint combining for 20 rebounds while David Gourley produced the bulk of their offense with a 25 point performance.
The closest game of the night came in the B League final as two freshman squads squared off for quad bragging rights. Representing Huber dorm, The CP's produced a valiant defensive effort in their three point loss to fellow classmates Rich and the Stine-o-saurs, 38-35.
The men's A league final pitted over aged and under skilled employees versus the number one seeded, The Good SAE Team. In a Cinderella story, and fitting book end to the season, You Don't Even Realize avenged an opening day double ov
ertime loss by running away with a 56-34 win. Cory Jewart and Joe Yeck reached double digit offensive outputs while Darryl Keckler and Ben Kennedy rounded out the rebounding effort and anchored their stifling 2-3 zone.
