Twenty-nine Bullets named to Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Twenty-nine Gettysburg College student-athletes have been named to the 2006 Centennial Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, announced recently.

To be nominated for the honor roll, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve, be of sophomore standing or higher, and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.40. The honored Bullet student-athletes are:

Men's Cross Country
Senior Andy Carmer (Parkton, Md./Dulaney), sophomore Greg Cumming (Bainbridge, N.Y./Bainbridge-Guilford), sophomore Frank Hoban (Dunmore, Pa./Dunmore), sophomore Tom Merce (Broadview Hts., Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview), sophomore Daniel Strein (Bellerose, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy).

Women's Cross Country
Junior Christine Burke (Springfield, Pa./Springfield), junior Ellen Furnari (Hartland, Vt./Hartford), junior Brett Jackson (Arnold, Md./Archbishop Spalding), senior Anna Markowitz (Macungie, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic), junior Bridget McElroy (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon), sophomore Becca Zabel (Frederick, Md./Urbana).
