Posted on Wed Nov 29 00:00:00 EST 2006

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - Junior guard Megan Hartman (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) led three Gettysburg players in double figures with a game-high 14 points in a 67-43 win over Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) action on Wednesday night at Schwartz Gymnasium.

Remaining undefeated in CC play, Gettysburg (4-1, 2-0 CC) got 12 points from sophomore guard Margaret White (Burke, Va./James W. Robinson) and 10 points from senior forward Katie Reilly (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) in the victory. Junior guard Sam Pyzik (Westminster, Md./Mercy) recorded a career-high five steals on a night where the Bullets posted 20 steals against the Owls (1-3, 0-2 CC).

Battling to a 13-13 tie after 13:21 of play, Gettysburg went on a 21-8 to close the half. Hartman scored seven points and Reilly added six during the run. Freshman forward Ali Goldsmith (Farmingdale, N.J./Howell) hit a layup as time expired to give the Bullets a 34-21 advantage heading to the locker room.

To open the second frame, Bryn Mawr and Gettysburg traded baskets, and a jumper by Julia Harris cut the lead to 36-25. However, the Bullets scored the next six points on back-to-back three pointers by White and Hartman.

During the final 16 minutes of the game, Gettysburg outscored the Owls 25-18 en route to the victory. Freshman forward Courtney Fields (Baltimore, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) led the Bullets down the stretch with five of her nine points on the day.

Gettysburg shot 44.1 percent from the field in the win compared to Bryn Mawr's 32.1 percent. Jessica Allen led the Owls with 13 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Bullets return to action on Saturday at home, for a CC matchup against Ursinus. The opening tip is set for 1:00 p.m.
