Once You're Accepted

Congratulations!  Your application has been accepted for Celebration!  Now what?  We  encourage you to consult with your faculty mentor or sponsor to schedule practice sessions to develop the execution of your project(s). Here are some important points regarding your presentation.

Attire: Business Casual

Panel Discussions:

  • Last minute no-shows are not acceptable unless due to an emergency. You are expected to be in attendance. 
  • Your mentor is also expected to attend or make arrangements with a colleague to cover for them.
  • Save your project on your ‘H’ drive as well as a flash drive. Store all of the projects for the presentation on the same drive to same time.
  • Practice the presentation prior to the event to ensure proper timing.
  • Familiarize yourself with the classroom technology. NOTE: It may be beneficial to practice in the room you are assigned for their presentation.
  • Please leave 15 minutes at the end of our session for Q & A.
  • Invite your peers, professors, friends and family to attend the session. 

Poster Presentations:

  • We recommend that you sign up to take part in a poster training workshop.  Information can be found here.
  • Last minute no-shows are not acceptable unless due to an emergency. You are expected to be in attendance for the duration of the poster session.
  • Your mentor is also expected to attend or make arrangements with a colleague to cover for them.
  • Print your poster as early as possible. See detailed instructions.
    • Deadline for emailing poster is April 25th at 5:00 p.m.
  • You should arrive at your session at least 15 minutes prior to set up.  We will provide easels, foam-core boards, Velcro and clips for mounting the poster.
  • Easels are assigned by division.  You will be notified of your assigned location at Check-In. 
  • To abide by ADA regulations, the easels cannot be moved from their original location.  
  • You are responsible for removing your poster, and return the mounting materials. Posters left past 6:30 p.m. will be discarded.
  • Invite your peers, professors, friends and family to attend the session.

Music, Art, Theater, Film:

  • Last minute no-shows are not acceptable unless due to an emergency. You are expected to be in attendance.
  • Your mentor is also expected to attend or make arrangements with a colleague to cover for them.
  • Please make sure arrangements have been made for any equipment necessary for the presentation/performance.
  • Practice with your mentor prior to the event to ensure proper timing. Please leave 15 minutes
    at the end of the session for Q & A.
    NOTE: It may be beneficial to practice in the room you are assigned for their presentation.
  • Invite your peers, professors, friends and family to attend the session.

Participant Check-In

  • All participants are asked to check-in with the Celebration staff in the CUB lobby during the check-in period.  Pertinent information will be distributed at that time. 
    NOTE: Students will not be permitted to present without having done so.
  • Check-In period:
    • Friday, April 29 – 11:00AM – 3:30PM
