December Graduates Recognition Ceremony

Reception to follow ceremony.

This special ceremony honors students who have completed degree requirements in August or are expected to complete requirements in December. Students and families involved are contacted with details of the ceremony in the fall.

Although degrees are not distributed at this time since the semester will not yet have ended, and caps and gowns are not worn, it is a warm and intimate celebration for the expected graduates. Following remarks from the President, Provost and Faculty, guests and the campus community are invited to a reception with light refreshments. The Recognition Ceremony participants are also invited to participate in the May Commencement exercises and will receive degrees at that time.

Please contact the Registrar's Office directly with any questions regarding degree requirements and diplomas.

Parking
Visitor parking is available in parking lots throughout campus, including Masters Lot, Musselman Lot, Constitution Lot, and the Admissions Lot. (See campus map)

On-street parking may also be available along West Lincoln Avenue, in front of the CUB during the ceremony.

Accessibility
Accessibility parking spaces can be found in lots throughout the campus (see campus map), including Masters Lot and in front of the CUB on West Lincoln Avenue.  To take the elevator to the CUB Lobby level, guests may enter the CUB via the Bullet Hole entrance.

Participant Information:

Attire
Platform Party members will wear academic robes.  Participants, guests and faculty are encouraged to dress nicely for the occasion.  (Business attire)

Instructions
On the day, participants and platform party members will meet in CUB 260 (2^nd floor) promptly at 5:00 p.m. to check in and receive instructions on processing, recognition, recessing, etc. 

The CUB Ballroom will open for guest seating at 5:00 p.m.
