Want to purchase a new computer or are you bringing an older one to campus? Make sure that your computer specifications meet what Gettysburg requires.
 

G-Tech is a small group of students
who help/support other students' computers.

 G Tech is a student staffed and IT supported group which helps other Gettysburg College students with their personal computers. Techs help students connect to the network, set up e-mail, remove spyware and viruses, hardware issues, and general troubleshooting.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

When you call (x6935) or e-mail the Help Desk a ticket is created for you in CNAV that includes your current school contact information and a description of the problem. Once the ticket is created you will received an automated e-mail response with the information about the problem.

If you leave a message or e-mail there is some information that we will need in order to properly create a ticket for you:

First and Last name (please spell your last name)
Description of the Problem (internet, AIM, spyware, virus)
Best Way to Contact You (cell phone, room phone, e-mail)

In order to avoid losing important documents (like that eight page paper you are almost finished writing), get into the habit of backing up your documents somewhere other than the hard drive. You can save files to your network space using your H: drive or copy the files to other media such as a CD-R, Zip disk, or USB Flash Drive. We recommend using a Flash Drive because they are small, reliable, and easy to use.
