About the Donors
The fund was established in 1973 by the classmates of A. Bruce Denny (1951-1973) as a memorial to their late friend.
Arthur Bruce Denny, Class of 1973, was a Sociology major, Student Senate president, and member of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. He died tragically at the beginning of his final semester. “Bruce’s personality—his enthusiasm, his wit, his hard work and ideas—provided a mirror for each of us to see ourselves and size up our own goals and intentions,” recalled J. Ray Scott, Denny’s Student Senate Vice-President.
