The fund was established in honor of Edred Joseph Pennell, Class of 1912, and his wife Ruth Glenn Pennell. Established in the 1990s by their children Mary Pennell Simmons, Richard Pennell, Edred Pennell, Jr., Class of 1944, titles purchased with this endowment reflect their parents' interests in history, politics, literature, and management.
