The photographs on display in Musselman Library’s stairwell offer a glimpse of campus life as it appeared during the College’s first 100 years.
Four of the images were created by battlefield photographer William Howard Tipton, a Gettysburg native who apprenticed with local photographers Charles and Isaac Tyson. Several of the other photographs appeared in the Spectrum.
This photograph from the stairwell exhibit is of the Owl and Nightingale Dramatic Club (1923-24). It was taken by the Zamsky Studio and was featured in the 1925 Spectrum.
