Did you know that Pennsylvania College (now Gettysburg College) had a medical school in Philadelphia from 1839-1862?
To learn more about how our College’s history intersects with the history of medicine in the 19th and early 20th centuries, please visit Special Collections to see the exhibit curated by Natalie Sherif ’14.
The exhibit features items from Special Collections as well as objects on loan from the National Museum of Civil War Medicine (Frederick, MD), CWI Assistant Director Ian Isherwood, and images from The Legacy Center Archives of Drexel University College of Medicine (Philadelphia, PA).

Friday, May 16th 10-4 p.m.
Saturday, May 17th 10-3 p.m.
Sunday, May 18th by appointment
