Let's Talk About It! - Jewish Literature

Gettysburg College's Musselman Library is thrilled to present Let's Talk About It: Jewish Literature--Identity and Imagination, a reading and book discussion program that explores themes in contemporary and classic Jewish literature. This program was developed by the American Library Association and Nextbook, a gateway to Jewish literature, culture and ideas.

We will host a five-part discussion series featuring the theme Your Heart's Desire: Sex and Love in Jewish Literature. Book discussions will be held every 3 weeks beginning in September 2006 and will be facilitated by local scholar Stephen Stern, Assistant Professor of Judaic Studies at Gettysburg College.

The featured books are Portnoy's Complaint, The Little Disturbances of Man, A Simple Story, The Lover, and The Mind-Body Problem.
