He chairs the Jewish Studies committee and serves as Hillel advisor. His research interests include the Hebrew Bible and Talmudic commentary, modern Jewish thought, and Holocaust Jewish thought. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon. Prof. Stern will be facilitating our book discussions this fall.

Steven Stern Stephen Jay Stern is Gettysburg College's first Assistant Professor of Judaic Studies. He chairs the Jewish Studies committee and serves as Hillel advisor. His research interests include the Hebrew Bible and Talmudic commentary, modern Jewish thought, and Holocaust Jewish thought. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.
