When you come to visit the Forever Free exhibit, you must check out Musselman Library's Special Collections display of the College's Lincoln and Slavery artifacts.

Included in the collection are assorted broadsides, books, pamphlets, and more.

Special Collections is located on the Fourth Floor. Hours are Monday through Friday 1 to 5 p.m., plus Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 6 to 9 p.m.

Commemorative Lincoln Fan

One of the rarer pieces in the collection is this commemorative fan (shown above and left).

Made circa 1865 in France, the fan features hand-painted watercolor panels depicting John Wilkes Booth in actions related to Lincoln's assassination. Beneath those are photos of Lincoln's generals.
