The session focuses on specific cataloging problems, including such topics as the MARC field 007, chief sources of information, statements of responsibility, the types of numbers found on sound recordings, dates, physical descriptions, titles, and when to input a new record. The cataloging rules and practices are clarified, and then illustrated by the instructor with a variety of examples and exercises.
