The Bronco Buster (Wooly Chaps), 1895

The Broncho Buster was Remington’s first attempt at bronze casting. Extremely popular at the time of its introduction, the work is probably the most reproduced sculpture by an American artist. In this version the cowboy wears "wooly," rather than smooth, chaps.
