A large-scale (heroic) sized plaster cast of this subject was authorized by Remington and displayed at both the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in St. Louis, Missouri in 1904 and at the Lewis and Clark Exposition in Portland, Oregon, the following year under the title Off the Trail.
