The Cowboy, 1908

The Cowboy was Remington's only monumental bronze, created for Philadelphia's Fairmount Park, where it still stands today. Remington never intended for there to be a smaller version of this work, but posthumous replicas, like the Gettysburg College piece, were cast in any case.
