Gettysburg College's Musselman Library is thrilled to present Read Green: A Gettysburg Environmental Series, a reading and discussion program focusing on the environment and sustainability. The series will run from February - April, 2009 and includes three book discussions, two films, and a culminating lecture by noted author and environmentalist Bill McKibben. All events are free and open to the public.

The three featured books in the series are Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver; Field Notes from a Catastrophe by Elizabeth Kolbert; and Deep Economy by Bill McKibben. The two featured documentaries in the series are King Corn and The End of Suburbia. Participants are invited to read each book, see the films, and join in the discussions facilitated by community and faculty experts.
