Ask yourself these questions to evaluate the currency of a Web source

• When was the information posted or updated?

Look for "Last updated" or other dates. These are usually near the bottom of the page.

Critically review the content for currency. Last week's update may have jjust involved correcting a typo.

• Does the page have links to Web sites that are no longer functional?
  

  This reflects how often and thoroughly the site is maintained.
