Record details

As soon as you open up an item record you can see several important pieces of information, including

• Author, Title, Imprint (Place and Date of publication), and Edition
• Many books have images of the cover available
• How many pages and the size of the book
• Contents and notes
• Library of Congress subject heading(s)
• Location - Which collection the item is in (e.g. Book Collection, Reference, Reference Desk, DVD, Reserves, etc.)
• Library of Congress call number (Note: Feature films, off-site materials, and some Reserves do not have call numbers).
• Availability - Tells you if you are able to check out the item

Note that you can click on the author or subject headings to get a list of all materials by that author or with that heading in MUSCAT.

From that information we can determine that this is in fact the book we are looking for. Once we do that we can look in the table below the book image to find out where in the library to find it.

For this particular book, you can see that it located at the Reference Desk, so you can go ask the librarian at the desk for it.
