Loan Periods

Your identification card is needed to check out materials. Books can be renewed for another 180 days. Library materials may not be checked out to take abroad.

*Media Collection - Our general rule is that borrowers are limited to three video, DVD, or three CD titles at a time. Videos and DVDs can be renewed once for an additional 2 days.

Unreturned books or materials

Charges are:

• Books: a minimum of $80, $60 replacement costs and $20 processing charges.
• Videos and DVDs: a minimum of $70, $50 replacement costs and $20 processing charges.
• CDs: a minimum of $45, $25 replacement costs and $20 processing charges.

What happens if I leave the employ of the college?

Borrowing privileges end when members of the faculty, administration or staff are no longer employed by the college. Materials will be considered due on the last day of employment. If not returned, the individual will be considered responsible for the cost of replacement.

Borrowing privileges may continue under the following conditions:

• If the person leaving the College remains an Adams county resident and applies for membership as a community borrower or Friend of Musselman Library.
• If the employee is an adjunct professor who may be returning after a semester and requests the retention of borrowing privileges for the intervening period, in which case the loan period for books will be contracted to 28 days.
