Student Borrowing Rules

Loan Periods  
Books 28 days
Videos and DVDs 5 days*
Music CDs and Records 7 days*

Your identification card is needed to check out materials. Circulation will extend due dates upon request, especially over holidays. Library materials may not be checked out to take abroad.

*Media Collection - Our general rule is that borrowers are limited to three video, DVD, or three CD titles at a time. Videos and DVDs can be renewed once for an additional 2 days.

Fines for Overdue Materials  
Overdue Books $.25 per day per book
Overdue Videos and DVDs $1 per day per video/DVD
Overdue Music CDs and Records $1 per day
Overdue Reserve Item $.50 for the first hour; $1 for every hour after
Recalled book $.50 per day


Damage or theft of library materials will be addressed through established campus judicial channels.

Billing:
Billing takes place at the end of each academic year. December graduates are billed in December.


Unreturned books or materials

Charges are:

  • Books: a minimum of $80, $60 replacement costs and $20 processing charges.
  • Videos and DVDs: a minimum of $70, $50 replacement costs and $20 processing charges.
  • CDs: a minimum of $45, $25 replacement costs and $20 processing charges.
