Online Video Reserves
Technical Specifications FAQ
Q: Can I pause, fast forward, and rewind films as I watch them?
A: Yes, with limitations. Videos can be paused at any time during playback. However, you must play a video and wait for it to be fully cached before being able to rewind or fast forward. This depends on the length of the video; a one-hour video will have to play for 5 minutes before you can move forward or backward; a two-hour video will have to play for 10 minutes.
Q: What browser and media player should I use to watch the films?
A: Musselman Library online video reserves can be only be accessed using the Internet Explorer web browser. Also, videos are best viewed on Windows Media Player version 10 or higher.
Q: Can I use my Mac to watch the films?
A: No, films are not viewable on Macintosh computers. If you don't have a PC, come to Musselman Library and use any of our computers. You can get headphones at the circulation desk.
Q: Can I use the online video reserves from off-campus?
A: No, the system is only available on the campus network.
Q: How can I get more help?
