"Taking the bad with the good: Personality differences in perceptions of significant others".
People who readily integrate perceptions of significant others’ flaws with their more positive attributes maintain more stable, satisfying relationships. A reaction-time approach examined the processing of positive and negative information about significant others and foods in individuals reporting features of borderline or avoidant personality disorders and a self-reported asymptomatic group. Intriguing findings demonstrate core differences specific to the processing of valued relationships, and are an exciting basis for developing further research on interpersonal dysfunction in personality disorders and depression.
* A Light lunch is available on a first come, first serve basis.
