Immerse yourself in American arts, culture, and cuisine at the Gettysburg Festival June 8-17.
Now in its fifth year, the ten-day celebration features dozens of free and ticketed music, art, film, food, and theater events in a variety of locations around town.
A few examples of what's scheduled for this year's festival follow:
Chocolate on Broadway
Get ready for an evening of hilarious Broadway-style improv entertainment followed by a decadent chocolate
reception designed by former White House Chef Walter Scheib (Majestic Theater).
June 15, 9:30 p.m.Oklahoma! Film Showing, Pie Auction, and Reception
“Come sweepin' down the plain” with Shirley Jones and Gordon MacCrea in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s legendary musical. Following the movie, check out the pie auction and reception (Majestic Theater).
June 13, 7:30 p.m.Childrens Arts Faire: A Step Back in Time
Children of all ages can bring history to life through music, stories, art, and fun at the Festival Main Stage (Memorial Field).
June 15, 12 p.m.All-American Brass Picnic
A classic summertime experience, the All-American Brass picnic will spotlight a few of the best brass groups from the mid-Atlantic
region at the Festival Main Stage (Memorial Field).
June 16, 12 p.m.Adams County Arts Council Juried Art Exhibition
Artists throughout the mid-Atlantic region submitted a variety of two- and three-dimensional works of art for consideration by juror RenéTreviño (Schmucker Art Gallery).
June 8-17, 10 a.m.Whether you’re watching improv, eating farm-to-table cuisine, listening to live music, or looking at beautiful pieces of artwork, you’re sure to have a great time at the Gettysburg Festival.

Founded in 1832, Gettysburg College is a highly selective four-year residential college of liberal arts and sciences with a strong academic tradition. Alumni include Rhodes Scholars, a Nobel laureate, and other distinguished scholars. The college, which enrolls 2,600 undergraduate students, is located on a 200-acre campus adjacent to the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
