Bright Lights! Big City! New York City - January 2009 blog
Bright Lights! Big City! is a three-day career program that is designed to give students an opportunity to learn and gain insight about various career fields.
The January 2009 trip takes students to the Big Apple to learn about careers in accounting, finance, marketing and human resources. Activities include site visits to various companies, meeting alums and parents working in these fields, working on a case study presentation and a networking reception that includes alumni, trustees and Interim President Janet Riggs '77.
The program has been running for five years and has taken students to Boston, New York, Washington, and Philadelphia. Past trips have expolored careers in the sciences, arts, arts management, non profits, public service , wall street, food fashion and event planning as well as advertising.
