College mentioned in Patriot-News article on college rankings

In an article published on November 9 by the Patriot-News, Gettysburg College was mentioned as a basis for comparison regarding the college ranking of Penn State on various annual top colleges lists.

From the Patriot-News:

Penn State last year was outranked by Franklin & Marshall University and Dickinson College in the annual list compiled by Forbes. That ranking, compiled by the Center for College Affordability, looks at what students get out of the school and tuition costs.

In the 2012 Forbes ranking, Lancaster-based F&M came in at 94 and Carlisle-based Dickinson at 106. Penn State ranked No. 184. Gettysburg College was No. 119.

Forbes’ rankings do not factor in reputation or academic selectivity.
