Upcoming film about Gettysburg College student announced in Variety

Variety ran a September 11 story on the upcoming movie to be filmed at Gettysburg College, 1,000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story. The movie will tell the story of Gettysburg College student Cory Weissman.

From Variety:

David Henrie ("Wizards of Waverly Place") will star in the indie feature film "1000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story."

He will portray the real-life role of  Weissman, a gifted athlete who starred for his high school's basketball team before being felled by a stroke. His new dream is to simply appear in one more game and hold the ball in his hands one more time, even if it's just for a few seconds.

Bob Burris and Bruce Gordon will produce the film, and Michael Levin will direct. "The Cory Weissman Story" is scheduled to begin production in Pennsylvania in October.
