Gettysburg noted in witf article for post-graduate success

Gettysburg was mentioned in a September 22 witf article for its high ranking among midstate colleges for post-graduate success.

From witf:

A handful of midstate schools make the grade when it comes to measuring the success of their alums, based on a new study. The Alumni Factor is a new ranking system that analyzes how well graduates fare after finishing college.

CEO Monica McGurk says it takes several factors into account: "things as diverse as financial metrics, career success, job placement, friendships, intellectual development; in total, 15 different metrics."

McGurk says colleges that admit students with high SAT scores don't necessarily score highly on the list.

Bucknell University ranked 23rd; Gettysburg College, 50th; Franklin and Marshall, 98th; Penn State, 102nd; and Dickinson came in at 150th.
