Economics professor's role in upcoming debate mentioned in Patriot-News article

Charles L. Weise, professor of economics at Gettysburg College, was mentioned in an October 15 Patriot-News article for his role as moderator in the upcoming debate among candidates seeking to replace Todd Platts' seat in Congress.

From the Patriot-News:

The four candidates vying to represent Harrisburg, the West Shore and York and Adams counties will debate Tuesday night in Gettysburg.

Libertarian Mike Koffenberger, Democrat Harry Perkinson, Republican state Rep. Scott Perry and independent Wayne Wolff will debate at 7 p.m. in the first floor auditorium at Lutheran Theological Seminary, 61 Seminary Ridge. It is expected to last until 8:30 p.m.

The debate — which is sponsored by Gettysburg Branch of the American Association of University Women — will be moderated by Charles L. Weise, professor of economics at Gettysburg College.

The candidates will attend various forums up to the election, but this might be the last debate including all four candidates that the public can attend.

The winner of next month’s election will replace Rep. Todd Platts, who is leaving Congress after six terms.
