Prof. David Booz mentioned in Frederick News-Post for upcoming lecture

Civil War Era Studies professor David Booz was mentioned in an Oct. 21 Frederick News-Post article for his upcoming role in a Civil War symposium, "Antietam: The Bloodiest Single Day in American History," to be held at Carroll Community College on Oct. 27.

From the News-Post:

David Booz, an educator and Civil War historian, will present "The Battle of Antietam: How the Army of Northern Virginia Survived." Booz teaches Civil War classes at Gettysburg (Pa.) College and is active in the North-South Skirmish Association. He holds several advanced degrees and has written articles on McNeill's Rangers and the Second United States Sharpshooters.

A panel discussion on the short- and long-term effects of the Battle of Antietam follows, including Booz, Gregg Clemmer, the author of five books including "Valor in Gray" and "Old Alleghany," and Robert Young, a history professor at CCC and the author of "Senator James Murray Mason: Defender of the Old South."
