College mentioned in WITF article about proposed Adams County bike path

Gettysburg College's support for a proposed bike path in Adams County was mentioned in a Dec. 18 WITF article.

Proposed bike path in Adams Co. would connect tourist destinations

Plans for a proposed bicycle path in Adams County would connect two well-known tourist destinations.

Healthy Adams Bicycle Pedestrian Inc.'s "Gettysburg Inner Loop" path would run from the Civil War battlefield south of the borough to the train station where president Abraham Lincoln arrived before delivering his "Gettysburg Address."

The path would include a so-called greenway segment.

Project coordinator Tom Jolin says the planning on the greenway is expected to be complete in April -- thanks to the support of groups like Gettysburg College, Gettysburg Hospital and the borough.
