SF Chronicle carries story about new bike path supported by Gettysburg College

The San Francisco Chronicle ran a January 5 article about a new bicycle path to be created in Gettysburg with support from several local organizations, including Gettysburg College.

From the Chronicle:

WITF reports that, “Healthy Adams Bicycle Pedestrian Inc.’s ‘Gettysburg Inner Loop’ path would run from the Civil War battlefield south of the borough to the train station where President Abraham Lincoln arrived before delivering his ‘Gettysburg Address.’”

Project coordinator Tom Jolin commented to WITF that the planning on the greenway is expected to be complete in April 2013. In addition, Jolin offers his gratitude to groups like Gettysburg College, Gettysburg Hospital and the borough for all of their support.

“We have just absolutely wonderful support from within the borough,” Jolin states in the article. “We have 23 letters of support from various organizations from within the county, and especially Gettysburg. That shows a lot of community support and advocacy for a bicycling system.”
