The annual haunted house at Phi Delta Theta was featured on FOX 43 and FOX43.com on October 25.
From FOX 43:
For a few nights each year close to Halloween, the Phi Delta Theta fraternity house at Gettysburg College turns into a fright house.
The brothers spend countless hours planning out the rooms, collecting the props and designing a truly frightful experience.
“I’m petrified of it,” said Sam Schwarz, a Phi Delta Theta Senior. “Actually living in it for the week that it’s being set up and running, it’s frightening coming back in the middle of the night after being at the library and seeing some of the stuff out of the corner of your eye.”
But it isn’t only about scaring up a good time. All of the proceeds from the $5 admission go to Adams County Youth Services.
“It’s really nice to get involved and give back to the community a bit,” Schwarz said.
The Phi Delta Theta house is located at 110 West Lincoln Avenue in Gettysburg. The attraction opens up at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m. Fri., October 25th.
Last year’s haunted house raised $2,000.
